I am currently undertaking PhD Research at Oxford Brookes university
My PhD Research Question is:
Can a Creative Practice Methodology be Devised that will Satisfactorily Articulate a Sense of Individuality from Unidentified Human Remains?
I seek to question whether contemporary art practice can ‘Identify’ unknown dead after forensic science has been unable to. By ‘Identify’ I mean a way of acknowledging the individual rather than a numerical or mass reference, something unique to that person that separates one person from another.
My research has been published within the Taylor and Francis Journal Textile: Cloth and Culture. Textiles and the Acknowledgement of Unidentified Dead
Is has been published as an open access document and is therefore available for everyone.
